42 religious leaders call for revocation of death sentence against Pakhshan Azizi
In a joint statement, 42 religious leaders called Iranian authorities to revoke the death sentences handed down to Pakhshan Azizi and Warisha Moradi (Verisheh Moradi).
News Center- 42 religious leaders have issued a joint statement for Pakhshan Azizi, a Kurdish journalist and humanitarian worker, whose death sentence was upheld by the Iranian Supreme Court, calling on Iranian authorities to revoke the death sentenced handed down to Pakhshan Azizi and Warisha Moradi (Verisheh Moradi).
Condemning the wave of detention and arrest against people, the statement said, “Iranian authorities must stop using judiciary as a tool of repression. Otherwise, the gap between the citizens and the government will deepen even more.”
