3 police officers sent prison for beating 14-year-old child in Lice
Three of five police officers, who were detained for kidnapping and beating 14-year-old Y.D. in Diyarbakır’s Lice district, have been sent to prison.
News Center- On March 21, 14-year-old Y.D. was kidnapped and beaten by police officers in the Lice district of Amed (Turkish: Diyarbakır).
An investigation was launched against five police officers after the child identified them. As part of the investigation, five police officers were detained on charges of “deprivation of liberty and deliberately injuring”.
Three police officers named İsmail Akkuş, Emre Özcan and Gökhan Bay have been sent to prison by the Lice Criminal Court of Peace on charges of “Deliberately injuring”. Other two police officers have been released.
