Petition against ban on Iranian women from football stadium

In the petition, the captain and players of the Iranian National Team, writers, poets, journalists, political activists, women's rights activists, former president, and members of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran demand women be allowed entry to stadiums.

What happened?

 On March 29, 2,000 women were denied entry to the football stadium despite having bought tickets. The security told them that they are not allowed.

Iranian women have been barred from stadiums for about 40 years. According to the reports, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) may ban Iran from international competitions if the ban on women continues.
