‘Allow their peaceful and democratic protests’
Speaking at the talks attended by Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, HEDEP Batman MP Mehmet Rüştü Tiryaki said, “Peace Mothers and Saturday Mothers have not been allowed to use their right to peaceful and democratic protest in this country for a while despite the decision of the Constitutional Court. Peace Mothers and Saturday Mothers are the mothers who lost their children. They are brothers and sisters, who lost their brothers and sisters. We brought their carnations to protest the attacks on them. Allow their peaceful and democratic protests.”
