According to the data released by Iraqi authorities, Turkey has violated 20 kilometers of Northern Kurdistan territory. Women politicians of Southern Kurdistan expressed their concerns about Turkey's military activities in the region and said, “A stance against attacks should be maintained.”

Mahabad Şêx Mehemed: Attacks bother and upset us

Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) member Mahabad Şêx Mehemed called for an immediate cessation of military operations.

“There is a serious attack on Southern Kurdistan, on the Kurdish people. We must protect territorial integrity together. The Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi Government should immediately take a common stance against the Turkish invasion. These attacks are not against the Kurds and the people of Kurdistan. The invasion is not only a national problem; but also an issue that threatens the integrity of Iraq. The ongoing attacks bother and upset us.”

Respect for Iraqi territorial integrity is expected

Telaf Latîf is a lawyer and one of the executives of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
