News Center- The fourth hearing of the trial against Siirt Co-mayor Sofya (Safiye) Alağaş on charges of “membership in an illegal organization” for her journalistic activities was held at the Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court on Tuesday.

 Sofya Alağaş did not attend the hearing while her lawyer Resul Temur was present at the hearing. Resul Temur requested the lifting of the travel ban imposed on his client; however, the judge rejected the request, ruling the continuation of the travel ban.  The next hearing will be held on October 22.
