New indictment prepared against Leyla Güven
The and hearing of the trial against Leyla Güven, the co-chair of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) who has been held in the Elazığ Women’s Closed Prison, on the charge of terror propaganda was held today. During the hearing, Leyla Güven learned that another indictment has been prepared against her. The next hearing will be held on April 11.
Amed – The 2nd hearing of the trial against Leyla Güven, the co-chair of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) who has been held in the Elazığ Women’s Closed Prison, on the charge of terror propaganda was held today by the Diyarbakır 9th High Criminal Court. While Leyla Güven attended the hearing from the prison through the video-conference system (SEGBİS), her lawyer Serdar Çelebi attended the hearing.
During the hearing, Leyla Güven demanded the CD containing her speech and the photos on her social media account be sent to her. Leyla Güven also learned that another indictment has been prepared against her and she also demanded the indictment be sent to her.
The next hearing will be held on April 11
Her lawyer Serdar Çelebi demanded additional time for the defense regarding the indictment and that the demands of Leyla Güven are accepted. The court accepted to give additional time to the lawyer and has ruled that the new indictment, the recordings, CD, and photos posted on social media will be sent to Leyla Güven. The next hearing will be held on April 11
