Female politicians released under judicial control

Four female politicians, who were detained in Hakkari on June 11 and sent to court yesterday, have been released under judicial control.

Colemerg – On June 11, police raided the houses of Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Co-chair Sinem Seven, HDP Hakkari Women’s Council Spokesperson Zeynep Kaya, HDP Şemdinli district Co-chair Sozdar Atilla and HDP Hakkari former Co-chair Sipan Turan and detained them within the scope of an investigation launched by Hakkari Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. They were sent to court yesterday to be arrested. The lawyers of the Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD), HDP MP Muazzez Orhan, and many HDP members went to in front of the courthouse.

The women politicians repeated their statements and demanded their release. The court ruled the release of four women under judicial control.
