Women in NE Syria to read books by women writers in March
The Literature Committee of North and East Syria will hold reading workshops in March as part of its activities to honor the International Women’s Day. At the workshops, books by women writers will be read.

Qamishlo- The activities for the International Women’s Day continue in North and East Syria. The Literature Committee of North and East Syria has announced that they will hold reading workshops in March as part of its activities to honor the International Women’s Day.
Giving information about the workshops, Nariman Afdaki, Spokesperson of the Literature Committee, said that they decided to hold reading workshops in March so that people can read books about women and written by women to mark the International Women's Day. “We have determined three books written by women. At the workshops, people will read these books and discuss them. The books are written by women from North and East Syria. A workshop will be held in Kobanê and some parts of the Cizirê Canton.”
Noting such activities encourage women writers, Nariman Afdaki said, “First of all, women should have self-confidence. My message to women; feel confident because you are talented and you can do anything you want.”
The writers of the three books are Büşra Ali, Nariman Afdaki and Zylan Hamo.
