She paints murals on street walls of Halabja

Art teacher Hataw Kerîm paints murals on the walls of the streets, schools and hospitals in Halabja.

Halabja- Art teacher Hataw Kerîm paints mural on the walls of streets, schools and hospital in Halabja. Studying fine arts at the Halabja Fine Arts Institute, she has been working as an art teacher in a school named “Edîle Xanim” in Halabja since 2013.

 She also holds painting courses in summer by working in cooperation with some NGOs. Until now, she has held many art exhibitions. She has held two special art exhibitions called, “Every caravan seeks the sun”. In addition to teaching students how to paint and holding art exhibitions, she also paints murals on the walls of the streets, schools and hospitals in Halabja.

‘Children should be supported to discover their talents’

Hataw Kerîm thinks children should be supported to discover their talents. Emphasizing that as a teacher, she never ignores the talents of her students, Hataw Kerîm said, “I teach children how to improve their talents. I motivate them until they reach their goals.”
