The 2nd Arîn Bisk and Zilfên Aştiyê Theater Festival has entered its fifth day. The festival continues with the performances of theater groups from Kobanê, Raqqa, Manbij, Afrin, Aleppo and Rmelan.
Kobanê - The 2nd Arîn Bisk and Zilfên Aştiyê Theater Festival, which kicked off in Kobanê on October 5, on the 8th death anniversary of YPJ fighter Arin Mirkan, with the motto, “Little Hope Here Should be Disclosed,” continues on its fifth day. Yesterday, a theater play named, “Ma te kes kuşt (English: Did you kill someone?)” performed at the festival by the Hêvî Theater Community.
“We wanted to give message to young people”
Rûken Hejar Omer, a theater player of the Hêvî Theater Community, told NuJINHA that they have participated in the festival for the first time. “I have participated in this festival for the first time. I haven’t seen Kobanê before. For this reason, I have been experiencing different emotions. The theater play is about an old woman and young man. I portrayed the old woman, who made many mistakes when she was young. The old woman gives advice to the young man not to make the same mistakes. However, the young man does not listen to her and stabs her to death in the back by making mistakes that the old woman did. Then, the voices of children are heard; these children collect rubbish. These children symbolize hope while rubbish symbolize bad people in our country. In general, we wanted to give a message to young people by performing this play. We say they can build a new life and beautiful things in the future.”
“The program of the festival is very good”
Saya Osman, a theater player of the Cemîl Horo Center for Culture and Art in Aleppo, told us that the program of the festival is very good, full of activities. “We also participated in the 1st Arîn Bisk and Zilfên Aştiyê Theater Festival. We will stage our play in coming days. The theater play performed by the Hêvî Theater Community was very meaningful and had an important message. We cannot wait to stage our play.”
Today, the theater play named, “Di koma gemarê de” will be performed by a theater group from Raqqa.
