Killed 3 Kurdish women politicians commemorated in Shengal

A commemoration ceremony was held in Shengal for Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez, who were killed in Paris on January 9, 2013.

Shengal- Three Kurdish politicians, Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez, who were killed in Paris on January 9, 2013, were commemorated in Shengal. Many women attended te commemoration ceremony. “I learned of Sara's heroism after the edict (genocide). We know that the heroism of Sara is about history,” the Yazidi Free Women's Movement (TAJÊ) Coordination member Riham Hico said in her speech at the ceremony. 
Stating that Sakine Cansız's struggle sheds light on women's struggle, Riham Hico continued to talk as follows: “We, as Yazidi women, stand firm thanks to the efforts of Sara comrade. Sara becomes a role model for us. We will struggle to the end for liberation of society and women. 
After her speech, the ceremony ended.
