Kabul- Khadija Ghorzang graduated from the Department of Sculpture at Kabul University. She tells the Taliban oppression and the resistance of Afghan women against it through her art. However, she has not been able to exhibit any of her artwork since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.
“Unfortunately, Afghan women are not allowed to go to schools, even perform their art. I have not been able to exhibit any of my artwork since the Taliban takeover,” said Khadija Ghorzang. “In the current situation, all I do is design and shape works of art and teach girls how to draw.”
‘Never lose your hope’
Khadija Ghorzang calls on all Afghan women to “never lose your hope. We can achieve our goals as long as we do not get discouraged and stop fighting. Through every dark night, there is a bright day after that. Never give up fighting.”
