Yemen –A group of Yemeni women held a protest near the building of the Presidential Council to demand the rebuilding of their houses destroyed during the 2015 civil war. They also demanded temporary housing because they cannot afford the rent due to the economic crisis.

“Hear our voices”

The house of Radhia Abdullah, an academic of the Education Department at the University of Aden, was also destroyed during the civil war. Stating that they demand the destroyed houses in Aden be rebuilt, Radhia Abdullah said, “This issue should be brought to the agenda because our demand is a right. Thousands of families have been displaced because their houses were destroyed and we have been suffering from high rent prices. This issue has been forgotten. We want to make our voices be heard by the Presidential Council. They shouldn’t ignore us anymore. We just demand our rights.”
