Yazidi youth hold march in Shengal
The young people of Shengal held a march with torches to commemorate those who lost their lives in the genocidal attacks of ISIS in Shengal on August 3, 2014.
News Center- Members of the Êzidxan Youth Union and the Shengal Young Women's Union held a march with torches to mark the 9th anniversary of the genocide committed against the Yazidi community by ISIS on August 3, 2014.
Chanting slogans against the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) for having left them alone when ISIS attacked Shengal on August 3, 2014, the young people released a statement after the march.
The statement said, “The KDP did not achieve its goal on August 3 and now it tries to achieve its goal by using the agreement signed by the Turkish state, KDP, and the Iraqi government on October 9, 2020. We will never accept this agreement. We should stand by the guerrillas, who came here to protect us and now face Turkish attacks. They protected and helped us to form our own defense forces and then left.”
