Women of Makhmur refugee camp condemn killing of Mahsa Amini
The women living in the Makhmur refugee camp condemned the killing of Mahsa Amini by the Iranian regime.
Makhmur- Women living in the Makhmur refugee camp gathered over the call of the Ishtar Women's Council and released a press statement to condemn the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini by the Iranian regime. After a moment of silence for Jina Mahsa Amini, the women read the press statement.
The statement is as follows:
“The dominant systems try to suppress women because they fear women's struggle. The dominant powers that carry out a policy to oppress women, try to break the will of women who are the pioneers of human history, and kill them. The killing of Jina Mahsa Amini shows their aims. The Iranian regime tries to kill women by implementing its reactionary policies against women's rights. Every day, women are killed in Rojhelat Kurdistan. Against the regime that kills women, women around the world, particularly Kurdish women, must have the strength to protect their nature and rise up because the only way to protect women in society is to protect their nature and women will be able to succeed in this way.”
The statement ended after the women shouted the “Jin Jiyan Azadî (Women, Life, and Freedom)” slogan.
