Women in Iran and Rojhilat have released a written statement, announcing that they will join the strike.
“We have a duty to continue our struggle and follow the path of the martyrs,” the statement said. “On the second anniversary of the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini, we will take to the streets in order to tell the Islamic Republic of Iran what our revolution and resistance are. There are fighters at every home in Kurdistan. The second anniversary of the ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadi’ uprising led by women is approaching. We shocked the mullah regime by organizing a march to condemn the killing of Jina Amini. The unity and solidarity of freedom-loving women in Kurdistan will stand against the executions, oppression and crimes of the Iranian regime.
“On the second anniversary of the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi revolution, we will visit the graves of our martyrs to honor their memory. We announce that we will join the general strike that will be staged on September 16.”
