Women delegation from Rojava visits Başûrê Kurdistan
A women delegation, including Ilham Ehmed, Co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), had meetings with women’s organizations in Başûrê Kurdistan, Southern Kurdistan.
News Center- A women delegation from Rojava continues to hold meetings with women’s organizations in Başûrê Kurdistan, Southern Kurdistan, to improve the relationship between the women of Rojava and Başûrê Kurdistan. Ilham Ehmed, Co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), is also a member of the delegation.
Yesterday, the delegation members visited the Gorran Movement. The delegation members were welcomed by Gulistan Said, MP from the Change Movement (Gorran Movement) in the Kurdistan Parliament.
Speaking at the press conference held after the meeting, Ilham Ehmed said, “These meetings among women are very important, women should unite. At the meeting, we discussed the situation of women in Southern Kurdistan. Women face serious problems. All women should unite and focus on the problems faced by them. “
‘The struggle in four parts of Kurdistan must be strengthened’
After the speech of Ilham Ehmed, Saze Abdullah, member of the Gorran Movement, said, “At the meeting, we discussed the situation of women in four parts of Kurdistan. The struggle in four parts of Kurdistan must be strengthened for women’s freedom and victory.”
After the press conference, the delegation members and the representatives of Kongra Star visited the Halabja District Governor´s office. At the meeting, the importance of women’s organizations and the efforts made for women’s freedom was emphasized.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Halabja Monument. The delegation will have meetings with other women’s organizations and political parties in Başûrê Kurdistan.
