Hasakah- The Jineology Academy of North and East Syria held its second conference in the city of Hasakah, Jazira Canton of North and East Syria, between September 25-26 with the motto, “Women's Wisdom is Updated by Jineology” with the participation of 300 delegates. At the conference, women discussed the methods and principles of Jineology, women’s science. NuJINHA spoke to Arab women participating in the conference.

‘The capitalist system cut women off their own reality’

“Jineology is a gift given by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan to women all over the world,” said Mêrvet Emîn, Spokesperson of the Jineology Research Center in Manbij. “Thanks to Jineology, women have got to know their history, reality and nature again. Jineology is not only the development of women, but also the development of men. Jineology can build a free, equal and democratic society. The revolution in Rojava was based on Jineology and today, we see the remarkable results of this. We hope that the science of Jineology will advance even further. As members of the Jineology Research Center, our duty is to make this science accessible to every woman.”

‘We are here to build a society based on real science’

Jineology is based on women’s history, culture and reality, emphasized Wisam Şimalî, member of the Jineology Research Center in Tabqa. “As Arab women, we see this science as freedom of thoughts. Arab women have been deprived of their rights by religion, tribes and sects. Jineology is a wake-up call for us, a chance to strengthen our ideology, to get to know our truth and to build a society. If we build a system based on Jineology against this patriarchal system, we will solve many problems suffered by our society. Today, we are here to leave our mark in history, to improve ourselves and to build a society based on real science.”
