University student dies after being beaten by Iranian security forces
In Iran, students are arrested, kidnapped, killed and tortured by Iranian security forces. A university student has reportedly died after being beaten by Iranian security forces.
News Center- The protests that sparked in Iran and Rojhilat following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini by Iran’s so-called “morality police” continue. In the country, university students are subjected to arrast, kidnapping, killing, torture and expulsion from universities for participating in the nationwide protests and strikes.
The Union Council of Iranian Students announced the death of Ghazal Amiri, a student of Shiraz University. According to the council, Ghazal Amiri was seriously injured after being beaten by Iranian security forces during the October 10 protests; however, she did not go to hospital in fear of being arrested. After her health deteriorated, she was taken to a hospital; however, she passed away at the hospital.
University students kidnapped
According to the local reports, Fatemeh Moradi and Esso Murafi, two students at the Sharif University of Technology, were kidnapped and taken to an unknown location by Iranian security forces yesterday, January 10.
Meanwhile, Maryam Karmi, a doctoral student at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, has been suspended from the university for two consecutive semesters for participating in student protests.
She released after 84 days in detention
Sahar Azarpira, an art student at the Isfahan University, has been released on bail after being held in custody for 84 days. She was arrested and transferred to Dolat Abad prison in Isfahan on November 25, 2022 after publishing her photo without hijab on social media.
