Scientist Canan Dağdeviren has designed an ultrasound bra detecting breast cancer in early stages. “I dedicate this device to all women; you are not alone,” she said.
News Center- Scientist Canan Dağdeviren, who lives in the USA, has designed an ultrasound bra detecting breast cancer in early stages. Professor Canan Dağdeviren and her colleagues at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology published new research on the ultrasound device.
The ultrasound bra can be used in your home and it is portable and easy to use. For this project, Canan Dağdeviren drew inspiration from her late aunt, Fatma Calışkanoğlu, who was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer at age 49, despite having regular cancer screens, and passed away six months later.
On her social media account, Canan Dağdeviren wrote, “I dedicate this device to all women; you are not alone.”
Canan Dağdeviren, who was selected as a Junior Fellow of Harvard by the Society of Fellows (SoF) at Harvard University, was included in the list of 30 Under 30 by Forbes, one of the most prestigious magazines in the USA.
