Two Years and One Day Sentence Against Baha’I Citizen in Iran
Iran’s Chaemshaher Revolutionary Courty sentenced Baha’I citizen Farank Zibihi to two years and one day in prison with social deprivation for “Propaganda against the regime.”
News Center_Iransian authorities continue to issue prison sentences and deprivation fo human against activists and citzens fo the Baha’I faith,as part of an escalating campaign targeting civil and religious activities within the country.
In continuationof the crackdown on activists and civilians in Iran,the Ghaemshahr Revolutionary Court has issued a sentence against Baha’I citizen Farank Zibihi, sentencing her to two years and one day in prison,in addition to two years of social rights deprivation,after conviciting her on charges of “propaganda against the regime through the dissemination of Baha’I teachings.”
The special hearing in the case took place on August 10, following her detention in April last year, before she was released the next day from Tirekola prison in Sari after posting bail. Security measures also included a search of her home and the confiscation of personal and electronic belongings belonging to her and several of her family members.
