“The ship will arrive at the port sooner or later” Şenyaşar family says
On the 540th day of their sit-in protest for justice, the Şenyaşar family likened their struggle to a ship for justice and said, “The ship will arrive at the port sooner or later.”
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 540th day.
Today, the family has been holding their protest at their home in the Suruç district of Urfa province since today is a national holiday in Turkey to celebrate the Victory Day.
“Being right in a geography where justice has been practiced in the most half-assed way throughout history is not sufficient. The important thing is to tell people that you are right. The mother (Emine Şenyaşar) has promised to make her voice heard by everyone. This struggle is a Ship of Justice that has sailed for 540 days. The ship will arrive at the port sooner or later,” the Şenyaşar family wrote on their social media account today.
