News Center- The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, a Norway-based human rights organization, has reported that 16-year-old Armita Garawand was physically attacked by Iran’s so-called morality police at Tehran Metro on October 1 for not complying with the compulsory “hijab”. The teenage girl, who was seriously injured, was transferred to the Fajr Hospital. Since then, she has been in a coma.

Her family is not allowed to visit her

 “There are currently no visits allowed for the victim, not even for her family. A journalist who had visited this medical center to prepare a report was detained immediately by security forces. Maryam Lotfi, a detained journalist from “Shargh” newspaper, was subsequently released hours after the incident was published,” the organization reports.

According to the organizations, all state-affiliated media outlets have denied the physical assault on Armita Garawand, and government officials have claimed that no physical altercation has taken place.
