Teachers condemn attack on village school
Teachers, members of the Committee for Democratic Education and Society (KPCD), made a statement to condemn the attack on a village school in Shehba. The teachers called on the international community to not keep silent against the attacks on civilians and schools.
Shehba – A school located in the Qeremêl village of Shehba’s Fafine district was attacked. The teachers, also members of the Committee for Democratic Education and Society (KPCD), made a statement to the press in the attacked school. Speaking on behalf of the teachers, Berivan Xelil said that the attack was carried out by Turkey and Turkish-backed factions.
Recalling the previous attacks, she underlined that these attacks are systematical attacks.
Call on the international community
Underlining that civilian buildings such as schools, mosques, hospitals shouldn’t be targeted in armed conflicts, Berivan Xelil said, “Fortunately, there were no children at the school when the attack was carried out on the school. We call on the international community not to ignore these attacks and raise their voices against attacks.”
