Support from young people to Şenyaşar family
On the 536th day of the sit-in protest of the Şenyaşar family, young members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) supported the family.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 536th day.
In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse from their home in Suruç to demand justice for their murdered relatives again. Today, the members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Urfa Youth Council visited the family to support their struggle for justice.
Senem Eriş, one of the members of the Youth Council, made a speech on behalf of the other members of the council. Drawing attention to the struggle of Emine Şenyaşar, Senem Eriş said, “Despite all the violence, oppression, detention and harassment, she keeps struggling here. We, as the young people of the HDP, are with Mother Emine once again. We know the truth; the struggle of Mother Emine is our struggle. Today, we came here to support her struggle. The perpetrators, those who protect them are obvious. Actually, everyone knows this truth. We demand the punishment of the perpetrators. Justice must be delivered. We will be here with Mother Emine until justice is delivered.”
“Until justice is delivered”
“It is a legitimate and democratic right to demand justice against the law of the superiors. A mother's heart is different from everything. In front of this courthouse will be my home until justice is delivered,” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account by tagging the official account of the Urfa Governorship.
