News Center- The Yazidi Free Women's Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Azadiya Jinên Êzîdî-TAJÊ) launched an international campaign on March 8, 2024, International Women’s Day, with the motto, “Against femicide, be the voice of self-defense”. The campaign will continue until August 3, the anniversary of the genocide conducted against Yazidis by ISIS.

“Verso il Kurdistan Association”, an organization based in Italy, has announced that it has joined the campaign. The members of the organization visited Shengal (Sinjar) in May 2023 to carry out projects with the Yazidi community.

“By sending pictures with partisans, who fought against the Nazis and fascists during Second World War, the members of “Verso il Kurdistan Association” want to show the parallels between these women and the fight of the women in Shengal,” the TAJÊ wrote on its website.
