Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 641st day

The Şenyaşar family has struggled for 641 days to make their voices heard.

Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 641st day. The Şenyaşar family has demanded justice at the Urfa Book Fair today.

Until now, 15 investigations have been launched against Emine Şenyaşar and six insult lawsuits have been filed against her.

“There is a crime against humanity. The judiciary is helpless because the MP of the ruling party and his family members committed the massacre… We raise our voices at every opportunity. Today, we are at the book fair.  Those who remain silent against this injustice will lose,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account.
