Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 576th day.

Today, Emine Şenyaşar has stayed at her home in Suruç due to her health problems. Her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse in the morning to hold their sit-in protest for justice.

“First: The mother has demanded a fair trial for her son, who has been kept in a solitary cell in prison for four years. Second: We want the records of security cameras of the hospital. Conclusion: Demanding the revelation of the crime has become a crime. The mother stood trial as a defendant,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account by sharing a photo of Emine Şenyaşar taken during the first hearing of the trial against her on charges of “insulting” Turkey’s Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu and AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız.
