Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 574th day. Today, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse in the morning to hold the sit-in protest by unfurling a banner reading, “Justice for the Şenyaşar family, justice for everyone”.
15 separate investigations
So far, 15 separate investigations have been launched against Emine Şenyaşar on charges of “insulting” since the Şenyaşar family started their sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse. Five insult lawsuits have been filed against Emine Şenyaşar. The first hearing of one of these five trials will be held tomorrow. Emine Şenyaşar will appear before a judge for “insulting” Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.
“Where is justice?”
“15 investigations launched against the mother turn into a lawsuit one by one. Tomorrow, the mother will appear before a judge as a defendant again. The confidentiality order issued on the file of the massacre committed at the hospital in 2018 has not been lifted yet. Where is justice?” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account by tagging the official accounts of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), the Republican People's Party (CHP), the Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA) and the AKP.
