Sit-in protest of Şenyaşar family enters its 543rd day
“I will stay here until my son is released from prison,” Emine Şenyaşar said on the 543rd day of their sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse.
Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 543rd day.
“Judges and prosecutors are unjust to us. We will never forgive them. We will never forgive those who are unjust to us. My son Fadıl should be released from prison immediately. He has been kept in a solitary cell in prison. He has a daughter and his daughter grew up without seeing him. My two sons were killed while my son Fadıl has been kept in prison. I demand justice. I demand justice not only for myself but for everyone. Innocent people should be released from prison. We have faced persecution for 543 days. We will keep staying here (in front of the Urfa Courthouse) until justice is delivered. I will stay here until my son is released from prison. If I die, I will die here,” Emine Şenyaşar said today.
