Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar has continued for 522 days.

In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the Urfa Courthouse to hold their sit-in protest. The family members unfurled a banner reading, “Justice for everyone” and a placard reading, “We have been waiting for justice, an honorable life for 522 days.”

“Justice is not coming”

“Days, months, years have passed… Justice that is expected by society is not coming. When those who committed the massacre are supporters (of the AKP), you cannot find an interlocutor at the courthouse,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account by tagging the official account of the Urfa Governor's Office.
