Sewing course for women in Raperin

A sewing course has been started in Raperin in order to increase women’s participation in the labor force. 27 women have been learning how to sew in the course.

Raperin –A-month sewing course has been started in the Raperin region, a region in the Kurdistan Region, by the Kurdish Youth Association in order to increase women’s participation in the labor force. 27 women, who have attended the course, will learn how to sew and become more aware of many issues by attending seminars to be held as part of the sewing course.

Mihriban Haci Selam, a sewing teacher of the course, said, “The course started on June 27 and it will end on July 27. The course participants have learned many things until now. We wish them success.”

Women are happy to participate in the course

Dilan Rêbivar, one of the course participants, told NuJINHA that they are happy to learn how to sew.

Reyan Abdurehman, another course participant, called on all women, “Not to stay at home. They should participate in such courses to stand on their own legs. We have also learned many things by attending the seminars.”
