Schools targeted in Turkish airstrikes

Henan Iniz, Spokesperson of the Cizre Region Education and Training Board, said that thousands of students have been deprived of education due to the brutal attacks of the Turkish state, adding that they have created alternatives for students.

Qamishlo- Henan Iniz, Spokesperson of the Cizre Region Education and Training Board, reported that a school in Kobanê was targeted and many health centers were bombed by the Turkish airstrikes.

Underlining that the target of the Turkish state is the system built by the people of North and East Syria, Henan Iniz said, “They (Turkish state) want to create fear in order to displace the people. The Turkish state has targeted organizations serving the people, schools and health centers in its attacks.”

A school was targeted in Kobanê

Recalling that a school was targeted in the recent Turkish airstrikes, Henan Iniz said, “A school named Goran in the Kobanê city of North and East Syria was targeted by the Turkish warplanes. The school was destroyed by the warplanes. Many students have been deprived of their right to education. The education system in the city has been badly affected by the airstrikes. In addition, a health center was also targeted in the city by the warplanes.”

Alternatives are ready

Emphasizing that many schools have been closed down in the region due to the ongoing attacks, Henan Iniz said, “Many schools have been closed down in the region due to the violent attacks of the Turkish state. We always have alternatives against such situations. We have held Zoom schools for the students.”

“We must unite”

Henan Iniz condemned the inhuman and brutal attacks of the Turkish state and said, “We demand the end of these war crimes committed by the Turkish state in North and East Syria. We want to live in peace. We must unite to rise against such practices.”
