News Center- The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (Kurdish: Partiya Karkerên Kurdistanê, PKK) held its 12th Congress in the Medya Defense Zones between May 5 and May 7, 2025 over the “Call for Peace and Democratic Society” by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.

“We saw how heavy the price the PKK paid was in the persons of our comrades Fuat and Rıza,” Rotînda Amed, one of the delegates at the congress, said in her speech at the congress. Every comrade in the PKK has her/his own color. The difference of the comrades in the PKK emerged in the colors of martyrdom. They always lead us and we always renew our promise to them. Once again, I bow respectfully to the martyrs.”

‘We will definitely eliminate all the attacks’

“As our comrades say, every word of the leader is a perspective and instruction for us. The democratic nation is under severe attack against women’s freedom. If we build a strong unity, we will definitely eliminate all the attacks. I am ready to take on all tasks and responsibilities in the future.”
