She said that they will celebrate International Women’s Day with the motto, “Together we will defend our revolution and liberate our lands,”
“We dedicate International Women’s Day to the women of NE Syria and all around the world, to jailed women, the mothers of martyrs. We commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for women,” she said in her speech.
Call to struggle more
Stating that despite decades of struggle, women are faced with all kinds of violence, oppression, and slavery by the patriarchal and oppressive mentality, Riham Loqo said, “The oppressive regimes, particularly in the Middle East, the occupying Turkish state and radical organizations have carried out inhuman practices in the occupied regions of Syria in order to break the will of all women in the world. Women played a role in the establishment of the Autonomous Administration in NE Syria and they have made a radical change in NE Syria with their own power.” Riham Loqo also called on all women to protect the revolution and to struggle more.
