Police attack people gathering to support Şebnem Korur Fincancı
Police attacked the people gathering in front of the Ankara Courthouse to support and be in solidarity with Şebnem Korur Fincancı, president of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB).
News Center- Şebnem Korur Fincancı, president of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), who was detained yesterday after being targeted for her comments on the reports that the Turkish Armed Forces had used chemical weapons in their operation launched on April 17 in the Kurdistan Region, was transferred to the Ankara Courthouse after being questioned at the Istanbul Security Directorate in Vatan Street.
In the morning, many members of the TTB, the Confederation of Public Employees' Trade Unions (KESK) and the Health and Social Services Workers' Trade Union (SES) and students gathered in front of the Ankara Courthouse to support and be in solidarity with Şebnem Korur Fincancı. When they tried to enter the courthouse, police attacked them.
Police detained many people by dragging them on the ground. Many people continue to wait in front of the courthouse.
