‘They did not keep their promises’

In her speech, Herdem Merwanî, daughter of sick prisoner Abdülhalim Kırtay, pointed out that nothing has been done to solve the situation of sick prisoners although it is always on the agenda and said, “The health conditions of sick prisoners have been deteriorating. Political parties promised us; however, they did not keep their promises. Serious sick prisoners are not treated. Prisoners are transferred to prisons far away from their families. The most dirty policies are carried out against prisoners and their families. This is a shame for the county. This persecution is a shame for the political parties and the Minister of Justice. We condemn this persecution.”

After the speech of Herdem Merwanî, the Justice Watch ended.
