The Diyarbakır Peace Mothers’ Assembly held a press conference condemning the Turkish chemical attacks against the People's Defense Forces (HPG).
Amed - The Diyarbakır Peace Mothers’ Assembly held a press conference to condemn the Turkish chemical attacks against the guerrillas of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) in the Kurdistan Region. The press statement was read by Emine Deniz, a member of the Diyarbakır Peace Mothers’ Assembly.
“We cannot sleep after watching the footage of chemical weapons victims”
Calling on all states, Emine Deniz said, “The use of chemical weapons is banned everywhere, but they are used against the Kurds. We condemn all European states for their silence. We cannot sleep well since we watched the footage of chemical weapons victims (HPG released a video showing the use of the chemical weapons). The use of chemical weapons is an inhuman and unacceptable practice. We, as mothers, cannot accept such practice.”
“Everyone should do their part”
Mentioning the effect of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on the use of chemical weapons, Emine Deniz said, “If Barzani hadn’t allowed the use of chemical weapons, this would not have happened. Barzani kills our children. We curse him. Barzani is a heartless person, he is not a Kurd. We condemn him.”
Calling on all people to raise their voices against the use of chemical weapons against the Kurds, Emine Deniz said, “We call on all people to rise up against the use of chemical weapons. Everyone should do their part to end the use of chemical weapons. We condemn the Turkish chemical attacks.”
