Our Agency Obtains Evidence of the Massacre in the City of Sweida
On July 13, HTS jihadists massacred Druze civilians in Sweida. New details continue to emerge, and our agency has now revealed documents exposing the brutal attacks that turned the El Bedir guesthouse, once a symbol of hospitality, into a site of horror.

Sweida – In a tragic scene that sparked the outrage of the people of Sweida, one of the traditional guesthouses, long a symbol of generosity and hospitality, became the site of a horrific massacre carried out by HTS jihadists in mid-July.
Our agency’s correspondent in Sweida documented the massacre that took place at the “El Bedir” guesthouse during the city’s bloody invasion. Inside, a large number of civilians were killed by individuals wearing black clothing and bearing the logo of the Ministry of Interior affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government.
Video footage showed bodies stacked in front of the guesthouse. The scene illustrated the scale of terror and destruction left by the attack. Among the bodies were two people who feigned death in a desperate attempt to survive, with corpses piled on top of them.
Once a place for hosting guests and sharing conversations, the guesthouse had turned into a site of massacre, filled with the stench of death. This tragic transformation reflects the extent of violations suffered by civilians and raises questions about why this particular place, which holds deep social and cultural significance in Sweida, was targeted.
