MKM: Standing with Kobanê is not a crime’
“Standing with Kobanê is not a crime,” the Mesopotamia Cultural Center (MKM) said at a press conference on Wednesday.
News Center- The Mesopotamia Cultural Center (MKM) held a press conference at its building in Beyoğlu regarding the final hearing of the Kobanê trial to be held tomorrow, May 16.
Describing the Kobanê trial as “Conspiracy Trial” started by the ruling party after its defeat in the 2015 general elections against the demands for peace, freedom and equality, the MKM said, “This trial actually means judging the legitimate demands of the Kurdish people and defending Daesh, the most barbaric terrorist organization in history. We emphasize that we do not accept and will never accept this process of revenge that is against conscience, ethics and law. The release of all politicians can start a new era to talk about a new constitution and social peace. Everyone should know that if all politicians are not released, it will be a blow to social peace.”
“Standing with Kobanê is not a crime,” said Dilan Suyu, an artist at the MKM. “Kobanê is also the color of art against the darkness of Daesh. As artists, we call on our people to follow the final hearing of the Kobanê Conspiracy Trial to fight unlawfulness.”
