News Center- Since the protests started in Iran following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini on September 16, the Iranian regime forces have targeted and killed many women, children and protesters. According to the released reports, the regime forces killed more than 50 children in the 31 cities until the first week of November. Iranian human rights activist and journalist Narges Mohammadi sent a letter from Evin prison. In the letter, she asked the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to document the repression and killing of the Islamic republic.

“Despite killing of women and children, people’s resistance continues”

The letter sent by Narges Mohammadi on November 23 was shared on social media platforms. The letter said:

“Iran's authoritarian theocracy has prevented people from achieving their rights, including democracy and freedom, and a normal relationship with the world. Brave and innocent young people are killed every day in the streets. They have gone from killing women to killing children, but people's resistance continues.”

In the letter, Narges Mohammadi asked the council to document the repression and killing of the Islamic republic and requested permanent supervision of the UNHRC on the government's behavior to include respect for human rights in relations of the government.
