Kongra Star: We are ready to struggle for all women

Kongra Star has released a written statement to mark the International Women’s Day. “As the Kurdish women’s movement, we are ready to struggle for all women at any time,” the statement said.

News Center- The Kongra Star, the umbrella organization of women in North and East Syria, has released a written statement to mark the International Women’s Day.

Emphasizing that the International Women’s Day represents the spirit of women’s struggle and resistance, the statement said, “We salute leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan, the true comrade of women with his perspectives. We commemorate all martyrs of freedom and revolutionary women such as Rosa Luxemburg, Leyla Qasim, Leyla Şaylemez, Sara, Fîdan Doğan, Jina Mahsa Amini, Tolhildan, Nagîhan, Hind, Seida, Çîçek and Zeyneb. We salute the uprising led by women in Rojhilatê Kurdistan and Iran.”

Call on women to take to the streets

Noting that the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” has become the common slogan of women all around the world, the statement said, “We call on all women to take to the streets until they gain victory. The struggle waged in all spheres of life will end gender-based violence and pave the way for freedom. As the Kurdish women’s movement, we are ready to struggle for all women at any time.”
