KJAR: The killing of Nagihan Akarsel is an attack on the women’s struggle for freedom
The East Kurdistan Free Woman Society (KJAR) has issued a statement condemning the killing of Nagihan Akarsel, Jineology Academy member and Jineology Journal Editorial Board member.
News Center- The East Kurdistan Free Woman Society (KJAR) has issued a statement condemning the killing of Nagihan Akarsel, Jineology Academy member and Jineology Journal Editorial Board member.
“Comrade Nagihan was a pioneering woman. Throughout her life, she carried out many studies on Jineology. Comrade Nagihan trained thousands of women across Kurdistan to realize their own strength. She always made efforts to spread the science of Jineology, the science of women, in Eastern Kurdistan,” the statement said that the killing of Nagihan Akarsel is an attack of the male-dominant system against the women’s struggle for freedom.
In the statement, the KJAR underlined that everyone should know that the mentality that killed Jina Mahsa Amini and Shiler Rasouli is the same mentality that killed Nagihan Akarsel. Mentioning the history of the science of Jineology, the KJAR said, “Jineology is a science that unites women and makes their lives more meaningful. The ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadi Women, Life, Freedom)” slogan that is chanted by women in Eastern Kurdistan and Iran is a fruit of the philosophy based on the science of Jineology.”
In the statement, the KJAR condemned the killing of Nagihan Akarsel and demanded that the perpetrators, who killed the leaders of the struggle for freedom.
