Judicial pressure against women in Iran continues
Iranian security forces raided the house of women’s rights activist Aliyeh Motallebzadeh and arrested Masoumeh Soleimani, a wrestling coach and referee, and took her to an unknown location.
News Center- Iranian security forces raided the house of Aliyeh Motallebzadeh, journalist, women's rights activist and photographer, and confiscated her mobile phone and other electronic devices. No information has been received about the accusation against her.
She has been summoned to testify
Gazal Abdullah, daughter of Aliyeh Motallebzadeh, made a statement saying, “We were alone at home with my mother. The security forces broke our door and entered our house. My mother argued with the members of the security forces. They took her mobile phone and other electronic devices. My mother was told that she had to go to Evin prison to testify in five days.
Aliyeh Motallebzadeh is a member of the One Million Signatures Campaign for Gender Equality as well as a campaign to protect acid attack victims. She was arrested in 2016 and then released from prison.
Masoumeh Soleimani taken to an unknown location
Masoumeh Soleimani, a wrestling coach and referee, was arrested and taken to an unknown location by Iranian security forces on May 10, 2023. There is no information about the accusations against her.
