Israel-Iran escalation kills one woman in Syria
A civilian woman was killed in Syria’s western Tartus province when a drone, likely an Iranian drone, struck her home, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Sunday.

A civilian woman was killed in Syria’s western Tartus province when a drone, likely an Iranian drone, struck her home, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Sunday.
According to the monitoring group, one woman was injured after a drone fell on a house in the village of Al-Tali’iy, Safita countryside and shortly after, the woman died of the injuries she sustained.
Since the start of the Iran-Israel escalation on Friday, missiles and drones have been seen crossing the Syrian sky. Six drones have been observed to have fallen in Daraa and Quneitra after being intercepted by Israeli forces.
The Syrian Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management issued a statement, warning people not to approach suspicious objects. The minister also called on people not to go up the roofs to watch the missiles and drones.
