Iranian journalist Ghazaleh Zare sentenced to three years in prison
Journalist Ghazaleh Zare has been sentenced to three years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Khorramabad.
News Center- Ghazaleh Zare, journalist and child human rights defender, has been sentenced to one year in prison on charges of “propaganda against the state” and two years on charges of “formation of a group acting against national security” by the Revolutionary Court of Khorramabad.
Ghazaleh Zare is a journalist and child human rights defender in the city of Khorramabad, the capital of Lorestan Province in western Iran. She is the co-founder of two associations providing support to children and women survivors of violence in Khorramabad. On July 30,2023, she was arrested in Khorramabad by Iranian security forces. She was temporarily released on a bail of 500 million Tomans after 33 days in detention.
