Iran seizes passport, electronic devices of Leyli Rashidi at airport
The passport, mobile phone and laptop of Iranian actress Leyli Rashidi was seized at the Imam Khomeini International Airport upon her return to Iran on Monday, her mother said.
News Center- Ehteram Boroumand, Iranian actress and mother of Leyli Rashidi, said in an Instagram post that her daughter’s passport, mobile phone, laptop were seized and her belongings were searched at the Imam Khomeini International Airport upon her return to Iran on Monday.
“My daughter, Leyli, went abroad for two or three months to visit her brother; however, her passport, mobile phone and laptop were seized and her belongings were searched at the airport upon her return to Iran,” Ehteram Boroumand wrote on her Instagram page.
“I wish thieves and looters would face the same thing, I wish all our enemies were as dangerous as Leyli” she wrote, critically thanking Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, for his recent statements saying that they support artists and lift bans on their activities.
