Iran’s security forces raid home of Baha’i woman in Babol

Five members of Iran’s security forces raided the house of a Baha’i woman identified as Sonia Todiei in Babol, a city in northern Iran, on Saturday, confiscating her personal belongings.

News Center- Since the nationwide protests that sparked in Iran following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini by Iran’s so-called “morality police” in September 2022, the Iranian government has intensified its crackdown on the members of the Baha’i community, imprisoning dozens of them on spurious charges, denying them access to higher education, and confiscating or destroying their properties.

According to local reports, five members of Iran’s security forces raided the house of a Baha’i woman identified as Sonia Todiei in Babol, a city in northern Iran, on Saturday, confiscating her personal belongings such as mobile phone, books and other personal belongings.

The reason for the house raid is still unknown.
