News Center- Iran’s security forces attacked women gathering in front of the Azadi Stadium in Tehran to watch a football match between Esteghlal F.C. and Persepolis F.C. on Sunday, April 23. The women were forced to leave the area due to the intervention of the security forces.
The Iranian football authorities promised the International Football Federation (FIFA) that they would allow women to watch football matches. Although women had been able to buy tickets for the match between Esteghlal F.C. and Persepolis F.C., they were attacked and forced to leave the area by Iran’s security forces.
